Preparing the Army and Defensive Strategy

I recently had the chance to experience an intense combat session alongside my allies in Call of Dragons. My main lineup focused on swift cavalry combined with ranged units positioned at the back to firmly hold the strategic flag-building path. Organizing a well-coordinated formation that balances offense and defense created a solid stance against the overwhelming enemy attacks.

Facing Enemy’s Powerful Mage Forces

The enemy deployed a large number of mages, posing significant challenges to my fast cavalry. Therefore, carefully protecting the cavalry was crucial to prevent them from being quickly overwhelmed. At this stage, I chose not to include mages or ranged archers in my lineup, instead prioritizing cavalry and mid-tier infantry to maintain flexibility and strong counterattack ability. However, lacking support from ranged units required tighter coordination, especially in providing covering fire and dispersing enemy forces.

Managing Troops and Recovery Strategy

One of the major challenges during battle was the heavy casualties sustained by troops after intense skirmishes. The recovery time is quite long—around 9 hours for each healing potion—making precise planning of attack and retreat essential. Players need to calculate the optimal time to strike, avoid wasting forces, and keep the army ready for prolonged combat. This characteristic adds tactical depth to Call of Dragons, demanding strategic thinking from players.

Battle Outcome and Looking Ahead

Despite the difficulties, I still retained over 77,000 Tier 4 troops after the battle, mostly swift cavalry. This demonstrates the resilience and survivability of the formation when coordinated well. Personally, I believe Call of Dragons will continue to update with new commanders and pets in the future, expanding team-building options, diversifying tactics, and offering even more thrilling combat experiences to the gaming community.
